Max Acada 2011

Alright, not my best work here, but it's the best out of several attempts I've tried so far. Who knew drawing your own character could be so difficult?

So here we have Max Acada from Lv. UP! (pending a new name), who was in serious need of an update to his design since his first drawing.

First off, there was a bit of confusion about what height the characters from Lv. UP! were supposed to be. I ended up making him really short as a result. So the first thing I did was make him the proper height, which is somewhere a little over five feet.

His outfit stays exactly the same as before. I did however change the design on the collar of his vest. I also gave him a gold belt buckle instead of that old silver one. Mostly to better differentiate it from his shirt.

I did a lot of work on his facial features since the last pic, since I pretty much f'd up a lot of it in the first drawing. The muzzle was off, the ears looked funny, the eye's didn't match. I still feel I need serious work on drawing eyes. But you may notice that his ears are darker now. I figured that would be a better route since Yellow Labs' ears are technically darker than the rest of their body.

You're asking "what's he holding in his hand there?" It's a portable HD camera. He's on the AV club after all. Yeah, I have one just like it.
