Description

This is a drawing I finished last month. I was going to draw in a couch for him to be sitting on. But I figured I could just show off the pose as-is, and present it like I did Collin's picture from last year. I've made a few changes in Milo's facial features. Like Collin's updates from last year, I wanted to find a way to make Milo look more like a lion. As for the pose I drew him in, it was mostly an experiment in terms of dynamic posing. Something I've been trying to work on over the past couple of years. I'm hoping to apply these features to Maria when it comes time to do so.

I like how laid back and relaxed Milo looks in this artwork. The focal point is centered on Milo taking it easy after a long day. The blue background, being one of the cool colors of the color wheel, represents the calmness of the artwork. It also represents freedom and courage, allowing Milo to be represented as independent and brave, as lions in forms of fiction are represented as the symbols of courage. The use of red on Milo's eyes, mane, shirt and pants stripe can represent positivity, allowing the viewer and Milo to always think on the bright side of life.
